Visiting Dublin

Last Saturday my girlfriend comes to visit me here in Ireland. She arrived in the evening at Dublin airport and our plan was to got some nice days there and visiting the greater area from Dublin.

At our first day we just walked around the city visiting some nice spots like the trinity college. We also wanted to go to the „Book of Kells“ but the queue was way to long. So we went to the Guinness storehouse. We had to wait long but it was worth the matter. The exhibition was very nice. And at the top of it in the 360 bar we had an nice overview over Dublin and one of the best pints of Guinness in Ireland so far! After that we just grabbed something to eat in an nice pub near the river „Liffey“. If you ever want to visit Dublin be prepared its really expensive, like really really expensive. A Fish & Chips was about 14 bucks and a pint about 6,50.

The next day we traveled to Dalkey. And we really get to nicest spot we could imagine . Dalkey is like an old viking village and really got his special charm. But the highlight was the „Killiney Hill Park“ which is set in an old quarry. There was many climbers. In this Park we got a nice spot where we chilled in the sun and got a great view over the Dublin bay. Then we went up to the old antennas house. From their we could see the Dublin bay and the coast side down to Bray! We luckily got a sunny and warm weather. Afterwards we walked trough Dalkey to Sandycove where we sit at the promenade! It was a nice way to let this day end.

My girlfriend left at Tuesday morning at 7.20 a.m. And we had to spend a horrible and long night at the Dublin Airport because we couldn’t afford another night in an hotel. Like i said Dublin is ridiculous expensive.

All in all it was a very nice trip and i would recommend Dublin and the area around it to everyone. What im saying hole Ireland is worth a visit!
